Blending
Rock, Pop and Jazz influences with a decidedly organic and some say retro feel,
Eddie Bowers demonstrates his prowess as a songwriter creating catchy and
soulful songs that Rock. This perfect combination of swagger, sensitivity and
smarts will keep you listening over and over.
Born and raised in Fort Worth Texas, Eddie spent much
of his school years involved in the music programs. He was in the award winning
Eastern Hills High School Jazz band directed by Charles Watts. During that time
he picked up guitar and started exploring his Singer-Songwriter and Rock side.
Over the years he has played in a few bands but has
been with the band Prime Of Life (a Deep Ellum staple for a time) the longest as
a guitarist and songwriter. Only occasionally performing lead vocals.
This is his first solo effort where he steps up to
the mic to sing his own songs. But make no mistake. This is a group effort. He
is joined by his excellent musician friends on this solo outing. Primarily
Andrew Davis (drums and production), Caleb Davis (bass guitar) and Ty Nestor
(guitar and keyboards).
This work has a very Individual style and a self
assured musical point of view. Initial tracks are played live in the studio to
capture the raw energy and only real instruments, drums and amps are used.
